Fuelled by general awareness and worrying statistics, governments' motivation to reduce their environmental impact is also justified by a significant financial return. In this quest for renewable energies, alternatives to gas and coal such as solar energy have emerged and are gradually replacing more polluting fuels.
If this transition has rapidly been adopted by the automotive industry, currently managed by private companies, it remains unexplored for alternative ways of travel. Following this observation, the industry of trains, usually owned by governments, didn’t benefit from these ground-breaking innovations that could support their environmental strategy and lead to energy self-sufficiency.
Bankset's Group founder Patrick Buri, as well as a large group of Swiss scientists, spent the last 10 years developing the first and only technology of solar panels for railways, with a wide variety of innovations to support the implementation of this revolution around the world (Cleaning machines, surveillances technologies, solar panels fixations etc…).
Cumulating a wide variety of patents, as well as a finished product and existing study cases in Germany (Partnership with Deutsche Bahn the German National Rails company), the company aims to raise funds to aggressively expand the project worldwide and conserve the monopole of this technology.
Created in Switzerland and built in Germany, the product leans on uniquely designed Bankset solar cells who can generate unlimited power.
The Bankset Energy rails fixations system is particularly engineered to adapt to all rails systems including ex: Vossloh, E clip, and Fastclip. The fixation is suitable for older or modern sleepers and fixations. Designed to be installed in less than 50 seconds.
In order to offer cutting-edge technologies certified by national institutions, Bankset Energy had to create every piece of the infrastructure from solar panels to the fixations in railways, the batteries as well as the robotics necessary to keep the whole ecosystem clean and efficient.
More than being a strong theoretical concept, Bankset Energy has already implemented its whole
infrastructure in Germany where the company collaborates with the Deutsch Bahn. Fully
functional, the solar panels are proving the ability of any country to adopt the technology in a
very short period of time.
The media exposure of this first collaboration between Bankset Energy and a government
opened negotiations with many cities and countries including France or UAE.
